Sirius was merely there to keep an eye on this Peter because he doubted that Peter could remember everything on his Hogworts list. Sirius thought Peter could become a good friend. “Hmm,” thought Sirius “bit small, (that’s good for hiding fast) all in all he would be good for…something.” Now if you are still wondering 'What is Hogworts' then I suggest that you read 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerers stone' by J.K Rowling. When Sirius and Peter got tiered of shopping, they discovered that they, together, had enough gold to get a rather large Chocolate-sundae each and still have a bit left over. When they got to a small shop named Scrivenshaft's, almost all the seats where taken. One boy sat alone at a table that had four seats. This boy looked a bit shabby, but he seemed to be having the time of his life-every few seconds he would stiffen up, shut his eyes, put on a ear-to-ear-grin and shake with exuberance, sometimes he would mutter “Yes! Yes! Yes!” He was eating a small but tremendous looking Chocolate-sundae. "M-may we share this t-table with y-you?" stuttered Peter "Sure! Sit where ya like!" the boy said excitedly. "Did somebody hit you with a 'very, very happy charm' or something?" asked Sirius.
"No, see, I'm going to Hogwarts! I am a wa-" he stopped short "I mean I-I was almost a squib," he corrected. “You would be like me if you thought you where a squib all your life and then you get to go to Hogwarts." he finished
"Yeah, yeah maybe I would." said Sirius trying not to sound or look suspicious, although he was. "Two large Chocolate-sundaes, please, he said to the waiter. After they had eaten, Sirius asked "Peter? Do you have your wand yet?" "I don't thi-hic. Oh dear!” Exclaimed Peter “I seem to have th-hic, I have th-hic-,”
"You have the what?" grinned Sirius " I have th-hic, th-hic-ups!” he finally finished "Oh, uh-" said the boy. He pulled out his wand. "Removeat hiccups?" he said with the eye of a beginner in magic. Purple light came from his wand and went right through Peter, who shuddered "Ffeew! Last time I tried that one, I sprouted elephant ears." the boy said.
Peter’s hands sprang instantly to his ears with a cry of shock. His hiccups where gone and his ears still the same
"Thanks, er-,” Peter said, “What’s you name?” he asked.
“Lupin, Remus Lupin. Call me ‘Lupin’” said the now known Lupin
“OK, th-thanks Lupin.” said Peter “Oh, oh!” he exclaimed “I haven’t bought my wand yet!”
“That’s what I was asking you! Well you should better get it soon,” said Sirius “I don’t know the ‘open/closing’ hours. Want me to come wi-?”
“No! I’ll get it myself.” Peter interrupted, “I’m not a little kid. See you ‘round”
Peter started off for Ollivander’s wand shop.
“Hey! Peter! You forgot your bags!” shouted Sirius
“Oh!” said Peter running up “Thanks!” and after gathering up his bags he again started off.
Sirius looked around, then got up and said “Lupin? I’m gonna have a look though some of these shops and see if I can get anything – useful for Hogwarts. So if I don’t find you when I get back, just going to say ‘Bye, see you on the train’”
“Bye, I hope to see you soon or on the train” said Lupin then muttered, “Yes! Yes!”
Sirius walked down the main street of Diagon alley.
