Whew! April is over! *Happy dance*

We seem to be going through a period of “Far too Busy with Real Life” here at Project Ferret. I figure it is the Real World getting what time it can since we all know July belongs to Potter!


Admin Update ~

Zymurgy went off to college last Fall with the promise of adventure and a good internet connection despite staying in an unplotable castle. I’m only telling you this so that you know the Trolls did get her…yet. And Timeturner has been buried in Ministry paperwork for so long that we may never find her again! As for me, I have been helping polish the trophies, and 457 of the mullioned windows. So much for the Admin being around Project Ferret much of late.


Backing up a bit ~

In March PF was all set to co-sponsor a contest with the convention in New Orleans, Phoenix Rising, but Peeves got into the Floo Network and pretty much trashed timely communication. It was either him or the Death Eaters. As a result, we do have one whopper of a contest sitting in the vault, waiting for later in the year, though.

And speaking of contests, we have a quick fun one ready to start in a few days,! Tell all your friends and post it at every other site you frequent; shout it from the rooftops; slip parchments proclaiming its wonders under everyone’s doors; do whatever it takes to get it printed in the Daily Prophet and the Quibbler (just don‘t talk to Rita Skeeter, we don‘t need her hanging around trying to dig up dirt)!



Also ~

We are going to clear out the dusty address bin and the memberships that aren’t being used. It looks really nifty to have “800” members, especially some that have been around since the early days of the site, but more than half never visit, some addresses are no longer valid, a wild manticore ate two of the stragglers, and there is that messy bit about the dissolving potion that spilled across several of the files. If you know someone who belongs here and may not have received the PMs requesting a reply, please let them know they need to confirm their membership immediately-if-not-sooner.
