Thats cool, Amunet! I was in a play in 3rd grade. That's about as far as my acting skill goes. wink.gif

*Well I've got one submission out of the way. I'm going to see if I can get this second one down before bed. (I.E. on Conan O'Brien commercial breaks)

I wish everyone the best on the competition happy.gif

It isn't very ethical to vote for one's self.
If you were writing at a site with mostly very poor writers, it could be possible that the other subs were actually abysmal and one's own was the best of the possibilities. Such is not the case here.
Slytherins greed would have them vote for their own, Hufflepuffs’ sense of caring would have them vote for anyone but their own, Gryffindors honour and Ravenclaw's acuity would have them vote for the best possible choice. I would hope you wear Red and Gold or Blue and Bronze, but it is your integrity you are showing to the world.

Agrippa created the voting booths to block people from voting for themselves…. and cheating. However, those booths have some intricate coding and during the summer duel an unethical person went through and intentionally skewed the numbers. None of Staff could figure out how to remove the bogus votes without crashing the voting for that whole Duel - and had to figure the scores out by hand (which is also up for mistakes and allegations of unfairness). So this time we went back to the Board's Poll System. It doesn't allow the constructive comments, and doesn't "rank" all the subs. It can't tell us a lot of things that would be nice to know.

No matter which we method we use, there are potential short comings.

Would you prefer a voting booth for Rounds 2 and 3? We could easily add it instead of the Poll. Let me or the Department of Mysteries know soon (sooner than that)!

Comments?

I was just asking, I havn't been voting for myself, I would feel wrong doing that ... like if I won, it wouldn't be fairly.

The current system is fine happy.gif We can comment in these discussions and we are only allowed to vote once so I think it's a good system smile.gif And I hope that person was banned! angry.gif

Oh yeah. That person was nuked, as was a supposed 'sister' and 'friend'.

Either one signed up as three different members, or conned their friends into signing up and had those persons' log-in info. All were banned to the max.
[The site can block quite a bit of possible trickery in signing up, so those three were blocked several different ways. If they try to sign up from a computer at school or somewhere else near them, or using a different name, or other sneaky things, they get stopped in their tracks.]

Wow! Great jobs on the subs for round 2. I loved them all and had a hard time voting. I managed to pick one though. Of course, now there is a four-way tie!

Don't forget to vote--because in this case, your vote definitely counts!

GAK! It's looking like it will be a 4 way tie (one of the other problems with this type of voting)... Quite possibly, if we run a second round of voting ( a run off) we would probably end up in the same place, so that won't work.

If we do something random (pick a number between one and ten), that settles in on one sub to continue our story, but is that a logical way to overcome the problem?

GAK!

OK... What do you guys think we should do?
