I'm baaaack! Hee hee, and you thought you'd be rid of me! Actually, I didn't think I'd be able to use the internet until Sunday, but I'm at my aunt's house and I guess she's been coerced into the 21st century. I like all of your Wizard of Oz allusions; somebody should make a parody challenge mixing WoO and Harry Potter! tongue.gif

Vlad did for The Potter Project... but something like that just never gets old. tongue.gif
Maybe you should submit a WoO parody for round 2 of the Yule Duel, Pink!

Hmmmm....*wheels of brain turning* I must go begin my plotting *grins evilly (is evilly a real word?)* I might have to explore this idea! Who could be the wicked witch? Malfoy, perhaps? tongue.gif

(Imagine me sitting in a room covered in icicles, I am wearing a Russian Style fur hat, fog rises from my mouth as I exhale into the cold. Every once in a while I take out an ice scraper to scrape off the computer screen.) Hi all! I am writing from the arctic zone that is my basement, my room here doesn't have a heating vent so it is very chilly and the computer is directly outside of it. My fingers are so cold that is hurts to type, but anything for Project Ferret!

I am tired I stayed up until three o'clock this morning to watch the new extended edition of the Two Towers with my little sister. It was stupendous!!! I loved all of the added scenes. It inspired me to continue reading the books. I have been trying to finish them again for a long time, I was halfway through the two towers again. I picked it up this morning and now I only have a chapter and a half before then end of the book, then I can move on to Return of the King, perhaps I will finish in time for the movie to come out. That would be exciting.

Okay enough LOTR, onto HP. I finally talked myself into bringing my first three books back to school with me, I won't risk the other two because they're my first editions and I don't want to risk hurt to them, but I will bring the other three!!! Everyone be proud of me, give me applause.

Well, I am going to go vote for the Yule Duel, then I will go try to thaw out my hands before my dad and my grandparents get back (my Grandparents drove in from St. Louis today, so I have to spend all of the time that they are in the house with them. I shall be thinking of all of you though!)

Awwww, so cool to be able to spend time with your Grandparents. Savour every moment. Wow!

Your books!!! You are indeed a brave warrior.

Whatever you do, don't watch the movie of Dr. Zhivago... there's a scene (well more than one) where Lara is trying to do office work at your computer. She's got open-finger gloves on and is all wrapped up, keeps blowing on her fingers. Frost on windows...

and all this after you were dying of lung crud last week... we're so proud of you.

Phew, Thanksgiving is over. I ate way too much. But then again how many times do you get to do that? I hope everyone had wonderful Thanksgivings.

Bakbam-Simply a smashing idea, I want to go do that on SS, now. I'll do it as soon as I get my fast internet back, it's not worth trying to do here, it would take hours.

Gaak! our Thanksgiving turkey was a disater! It was so salty that I figured I might as well be drowning in the ocean- and we didn't season it AT ALL! We didn't season or salt it because my mother shouldn't have salt due to some medical conditions. Can you believe it? The instructions even said to "salt inside and out" *shakes head* I am now going to write a letter of complaint to the company. The salty taste contaminated the gravey, (which had also not been salted) and the stuffing. (also unsalted) In fact, we now have tons of leftovers because everybody lost their apetite. But at least the company was good. I love my family! Except that my sis went to her fiance's house (out of state) for Thanksgiving. So we missed her.

Also, if you'd like to use the "Ferret Fan" graphic in your sig, here's the URL that points to it:

http://www.houseofhagen.net/board/html/team_icons/fan.gif

The underlining of the link makes it hard to tell, but there's an underscore (_) between "team" and "icons".

And feel free to use any of the other graphics from this site for promotional purposes!

Hey all. Just a note about a couple of changes in the Admin team:

Agrippa has made me an administrator - now I can help out with some of the little things that are only accessible with admin permissions. I am still your moderator for the Order of the Ferret and Ferret Fun, Fluff & Flattery forums.

McGonagall's Cat has graciously accepted the invitation to join the team! She's now a moderator, and has a few special permissions that allow her to help keep this place running smoothly. Cat is not replacing anyone, we just thought it was time to add her to the team with our thanks (Oh yeah, THANKS, Cat! tongue.gif ) for all the wonderful ideas and help she's brought to us. Since we don't have a lot more members or forums to moderate, she hasn't been given a specific area to look after, but she is available to help you out with things in all forums (as are we all) if you need it.

We haven't heard from Vlad in a while. We all hope she's all right and coming back to us soon. She is still a moderator unless we hear different from her.
