She doesn't look clumsy to me! What do you think? Cast well? [Want the pic posted here, rather than a link?]

I don't know, I'm hoping that she's not really in normal costume, especially because of the hair, is it that hard to make it bubble gum pink? I hope she can act the part, truth be told except for the trio a lot of the cast don't look their parts, but it's even more dissappointing when they don't act them correctly as well.

I agree. *glowers at Gambon's "Dumbledore"* The hair is kinda odd. It's supposed to be short and spiky. Now it just looks like my moms Halloween wig. (except that it had cat ears )

Gambon gets the quirky part of Dumbledore, he just doesn't have the calm presence Richard Harris used to have, and that part of Dumbledore is really important in the fifth book and from what I saw in the forth movie I don't know if he'll be able to pull it off.

I seriously doubt Gambon will do Dumbledore justice since he has a track record of not already. Grrrr! I really really - no even more than that - wish they'd replace him.
Tonks' hair is all different lengths and looks in the books. Sometimes she's a little old gray-haired lady, other times it's long, or spikey, or lots of different ways and colours.

I totally agree that Michael Gambon can't do what Richard Harris once did. I always admired Dumbledore in the books for his calmness and kind superiority, but Gambon can't bring out that part of him. In GoF, when Harry becomes a champion, Gambon actually acts angry at Harry, which totally shocked me, because Dumbledore is actually never angry at Harry (maybe in HBP), plus he never yells at him, because he doesn't think it good means to tell Harry something. And in that specific part, in the book, Dumbledore is more taken aback and really surprised (not in a good way, obviously) and not angry like in the movie. And I'm sorry, but Tonks really looks like a punk to me on that picture. And in the book, she's more of a clumsy, cheery person... By the way, what do you think about Evanna Lynch (Luna)? I think her hair could've been darker (it says dirty blonde in the book), but apart from that, she looks suited.

I think Evanna Lynch has the potential to make a really good Luna, but again, we'll have to wait and see hwo she acts the part.

Despite the descriptions in the book I always pictured it white-blonde. I think it will be fine.
On the topic of hair, my inner fangirl is mad that Daniel Radcliffe shall be sporting a short do. Harry does-not-have-short-hair. grrr

I just hope they keep his hair "untidy" like they've been trying to do in the 3rd anf 4th movies.

(except that it had cat ears ) That was the funniest thing I have read in weeks. Thanks for the giggle, lupinsmyman! Re: Tonks. I only saw the one pic, but I thought she looked alright. I could see the heart-shaped face and all. I do hope that we get to see pink hair somewhere along the line though. And, I hope they let her goofy, clumsy, young, cool attitude come out in the flick. She just won't be right without it. Have they released any pictures of Charlie, yet? I'm most curious to see him.

The pics I"m most excited for are the marauders from "snape's worst memory" , but I doubt we'll see any of those for awhile.

Man, you all are a picky lot! LOL
Personally on the "Gamdon Issue". I like Gamdon better! * runs and hides* Harris had the proper look for DD, but Gamdon has the Energy that Harris, although a brilliant actor, was lacking . Just my op.
As for Tonks ... When we first "see" her in OoTP her hair IS PURPLE!! ... 'never really specifies if its long or short. She does not change it to short spikey and pink until she goes up to "help Harry pack" when she sees her reflection in his wardrobe mirror.
And personally, I always picture Tonks a bit Tomboy, bit Punk, but that DOES NOT mean she won't come across clumsy or fun just because of how she looks! Wait to judge till until after the movie, or at least a trailer.
As for Luna, I think she is perfect for Luna . From quotes I have read from Dan and Emma, they think she is perfect. If I'm remembering correctly, Emma said something to the effect of - "It's hard to tell when shes out of character. She IS Luna". I will have to find the quotes and post them. For now, the fact that the cast has given their nod, is good enough . I mean, come on, we need to give them a chance before we judge!
