I just hate the fact that they still call these childrens books. They may have started that way but they are clearly not that way anymore. Those of us that started these books in our teens are now in our mid twentys. We're grown and so is Harry. Ugh!

This could easily be a scam, but it is very well done one if it is. Don't click if you don't want to know!

Possible "Deathly Hallows" Spoiler! Be Warned!!!
Source: HPFWNL

As we are all very much aware, everytime a new book comes out, there are those who live to spoil it for the rest of us. One of our members here at HPFWNL has recieved a pretty big one, It's a picture of what is purported to be a page from chapter 16 of the much anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. And yes it is read-able.

Although it does not directly reveil too much, it does a very good job of hinting at several things to do with the plot.

As always, HPFWNL will never spoil it for you, its our belief that your more then capable of doing that yourselves by clicking on the image link below. This post is locked and therefore no replys can be made on the Spoiler at hand in this thread. However there is a place set up in the Deathly Hallows section of the site.

Thanks to Paintball for the info.

I think it's real. Wow! Wonder how that got out. It's been under lock and key everywhere...

*Although I don't think they are hinting for someone to return - no saying names. But that there is something more to be seen... And as for this note he finds. Curious!*

Anyways guess will find out in less then a fortnight now. First thing I'll probably do though is see if this page is real. LoL!

This isn't really a theory or speculation, just thinking about it now we're down to the final 5 days before the last book reaches out ever eager eyes, what will happen when we don't have a book to speculate about anymore? What will we do with our new found free time? Our lives for that matter? What happens after we've finished discussing how satisfying or otherwise the final installment was? I'm going crazy!

That's something I've been pondering, too, Chad.

We got to LIVE it. After next Saturday, no one else will. I feel sorry for them. They will miss the wonderful experiences we have had!

We got to wait with frustrating anticipation for each book to come out, to do the crazy silly Potter things we've done for years. Any reader coming after us/next weekend won't have that magic. They will be able to have all seven books sitting there and read straight through, probably missing the Flints and definitely not having a couple years to think about details and be amazed at how intricately JKR wove the story.

It's like living through a bit of history. Those coming after read it in books, but can't know the real feelings of the experience, nor how it affect each differently despite being a world-sized event. For example, the war in Viet Nam was going on when I got out of high school. You can read about it in books, but does that give you the feel for what happened at the '68 Chicago Democratic Convention where the people who were protesting that war were clubbed by the people supposed to be serving "the people"? Does reading about that war communicate that there were a lot of us who genuinely expected to be rounded up and put into something akin to a concentration camp in the United States, on a paranoid President's orders?

To those who come after us, the Potter world will just be a series of books. Granted, there will still be the delight in the story itself with all its creativity, but we had a very special opportunity that won't be available for anyone following. They will miss out on the special experience we have all had. How sad!

I had that happen to me way back when I ordered GOF, so from then on I've just gone to the midnight parties and such. Is there any chance you could still pre order from a book store near you? Or is amazon at least offering more of a discount due to the (for lack of a much more appropriate word) inconvenience?

When we ordered it, it said it would be here on the 21st so I don't know why we have a new date. UGH!

I may just have to get one at B&N at the midnight party. How do you reserve one though???

I, like quite a few people have grown up with this series. I first read SS the summer before third grade, despite the fact that my dad didn't want me to. Since that point, Harry Potter has been a major part of my life. It has given me more than entertainment. It has given me something to love, something to be excited for, something to savor. But most of all Harry Potter has brought me friends. True, I have never met these friends, but what does it matter? These books have brought people from different religions, races, and countries together to be united by the love of reading and hopefully that will continue, even past the release of the seventh book.

Like McGonagall's Cat said, this is history. We are history.

Cocaworm at the barnes and noble near me I just had to go to the information desk and ask to reserve a book giving them my name, so they'll make sure to have one friday night for me. I'd guess you could do the same thing.

And it's true lupins, we have the Harry Potter experience for the rest of our lives, we can say we lived it. I started the summer SS came out and get to end the summer DH comes out, it seems like good timing to me, if it had to end that is. We were there for the whole ride.

Another 10 years from now when there's a documentary made on what HP meant to the people who were there we'll all get interviewed and say inspired things and it will all be amazing and wonderfully nostalgic.

I just called B&N and reserved me a copy. They are handing out tickets starting at 9am. They already have 1000 reserved what time should I get there to get an early number ticket? (Which means number 1 gets their ticket at 12:00). I'm going to have the kids more then likely so just curious how long we'll be in line and what time the first people start to queue up. Humm... Wonder who would be able to sit if I have to be in line for a long time....

Anyways I got my book reserved and now I'm relieved. I am probably just going to get a paperback edition cause my Aunt got the Deluxe edition for me on the way. I just need one to read I'll collect and save the other.

So now just have to figure out when to show up and get my ticket.
