The Department would like to take this moment to thank all those who participated! Project Ferret is what it is because of the people here, and contests like this could not occur if there weren't those who submitted (oftentimes more than once!) those who riddled (and were quick about it!) and those who voted. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves very much, (and aren't biting your nails to the quick in agony over the finalist...) and will continue to grace Project Ferret with your presence in order to write, to read, and to discuss all things Potter. Because the Voting Booth was built by a man with no less skill than Merlin himself, no vote can be edited or removed while the booth is in opperation. However, the fraud will not go unchecked as our House Elves are monitoring each and every vote by each and every member. Because of one member's actions (see a few posts back) there are several fraudulent votes, which will be discounted, that are nonetheless influencing the averages in the booth. Our trusty House Elves, however, are standing by with an abaccuss, and will be calculating the true averages for you daily until the last day of voting, which is the 22nd.

So that you may see clearly, we will not only be posting the standings, but each vote. (We will, of course, not reveal the names of members, each one is given a separate letter instead.) The illegal votes are also listed, but are struck through in every instance, and not counted towards the averages.

The Department would like to urge everybody to vote, reminding them that this time round one can ignore how well or how closely writers followed requirments, and simply focus on how well you like the story, personally.
