*cough* Er... ah... that is to say, I ... *cough*
Of course I knew what I was doing and didn't forget when subs were due. Of course I didn't work on a completely different fic instead. Of course the dragon ate my submission and I'm being held at Voldemort's fortress and forced to write these notes so you all think I'm ok.

... you believe me, right? RIGHT!?

Whew, made it. That was more down to the wire than I have ever gone. I blame that hungry dragon. He ate my first draft...either that or I threw it in the rubbish bin. It's all a bit fuzzy now.

QUOTE (Amaranth @ Dec 2 2005, 09:39 PM)
And Cherabela- it's about 3am here too. What is it about this magical hour?

To celebrate, I watched lupinsmyman's most excellent video (see siggy). How are the rest of you celebrating?

I thought you were in the UK. Wouldn't you be an hour behind my time, seeing how I'm GMT +1?

Hehe I celebrated by going to bed and sleeping again this afternoon. Together I managed to scrape 8 hours of sleep.

*pets teh Zym; prepares polyjuice potion to turn into Wormtail and rescue you*

Sadly there were less subs for this round, though I must admit that I was like a mad woman yesterday, coming from school, writing, going to do my hair and numerous other things. Thankfully I don't fancy dancing so I could come here and continue writing.

Can I take this opportunity to thank our wonderful staff here at PF who were behind all this. It has absolutly spiffingly fun all the way!! Thanks for everything!!! clap.gif :flower2: star.gif clap2.gif :dance3: highfive.gif

Ditto the kudos for the staff! This is the first time I've done this sort of thing, and I had a blast! It's really hard to have such a long list of required elements, much less in a required order. I really vacillated between which stories to continue, but finally had to write off my own. It was the only way I could come up with a feasible plot!

Anyway....congrats to everyone who wrote! It was fun and interesting to see the variations on a common theme.

When I submitted my story, it was 3.40am. So I guess that makes it closer to 4am. I round things badly, my bad.

Also- what a fantastic contest!!! It was great to have such a rush of adrenalin writing again. It's really re-kindled my love for the HP fanfic. Who knows, maybe I'll get my act together and write that one about Amaranth Jones I always wanted to...

I know the feeling Amaranth!

I have plot outlines for two novels and a short. One day, I promise, I will sit down and start really writing again!

Having had a bit of a rest, and allowed my wrist to heal, I've finally voted on all the submissions (except my own, obviously!). I have to say, after reading all of them, WOW. There's some amazing stuff going on there. It's quite humbling, really.

Congratulations everyone!!! It has truly been a great Tournament. All the entries were fabulous, and you know what? We really did put together an HP-relative story, which although not sticking to Harry Potter being the role part in the story, still was action-packed with excitement and the twists and turns JK got us so accustomed to through her writing.

A very big well done to you all!! Special thanks and congrats to the Admin team who must have been working on this for ages, especially with all those icons you spread around the board. wink.gif And that riddle for Task 2 was incredible. I was already going banghead.gif.

Yeay for a new year at PF!!! :hbpf:

Dear Witches and Wizards:
I know ye eagerly await your winnings.
However, there are a few problems with this.
Due to absolutely ‘fowl’ weather throughout the country, our birds may be delayed. Also, some of our birds, particularly Errol, will require extra time to overcome quarantine from the Bird Flue going around in the livestock lately.
In addition, it has come to our attention that the Dark Lord You-Know-Who has been monitoring the mail and confiscating things he’s an interest in. For that reason, we’ve contracted a reliable Wizard, one Remus Lupin, to cast us some Privacy Wards to ensure that your post reaches you safe, sound and void of Unforgivable Curses.
Please forgive us the delays,
Yours,
The Postmaster General
National Owl & Raven Postal Service.
