I think I may have a problem with my submission, as someone has pointed out 'spelling/grammar' errors. I use UK spellings and grammar, whilst everyone else here seems to use American English. I guess I didn't realise this is a board populated exclusively by US folks. I've adopted UK English for HP FanFic, since it is set in the UK. I'll try to do better next challenge.

We do, of course, love UK grammar. That is, when it doesn't broadside us from the middle of nowhere and catch us off guard. HP is after all, a British story, and we would do well to love and adore Brit grammar and spelling to the best of our ability.
I'm sure the people who pointed out an error were trying to be helpfull. Sure, we know HP is British, but I defy anybody from the US not to look askance at a sentance like:
'Harry, Azkaban is the Wizard Gaol!' said Ron.
Now, I do like consistancy, however. If sub one, for example, spelled center that way, and sub two starts using centre instead, it looks strange.
.... We could go on about differences and whatnot all day. But that's besides the point.
The point is, that British is good, and we love it, though we don't always recognize it for what it is. (Just as I'm sure a British reader occasionally can't make head or tail out of a sentance I could right. "Put the tomatoes in that spider," perhaps.)
