Okay....I inspired myself...btw, I'm going to stop making new topics...it is probably driving you all mental.... biggrin.gif

This thread will discuss the rules in writing a ff...not official, you know, rules of writing...

All right!

1) You must think: how could XXXX happen? If it couldn't, how could I make it be much more plausible

2) Aim for an audience.

3) Stick to your topic! Don't 'ramble' in your fic...::ech....no patience for that!::

huh.gif Audience, audience, audience? That's all I ever hear. *yawning* I never write with anyone in mind, when its done then an audience will find me. Most of my stuffs pretty much written for me. What I would like, I'm not going to sugarcoat something or make something overly gory because there's an audience for that. I would definately chuck that one out.

You should write to please yourself, if you write to please everyone you'll please no one.

People will always have quibbles.

What? I'm not supposed to write R/Hr because the H/Hr and the R/L shippers aren't going to read it? Yeah. No.

I'm supposed to write action in the middle of a romance so I can have guys in the audience? No way.

Audience should be the last thing anyone takes into account when they're writing, otherwise you're just writing a Hollywood movie. Trying to please as many as you can. Or the other direction, and you're trying to please only certain people. You should only write to please yourself. Your audience will find you.

 clap2.gif LOL!!! I agree. You should write for fun and if the "audience" doesn't like it, well that's their problem.

Some of this is a tad un-K rated, but it still could be a valuable resource for Briticisms.
