Just to start off and say: I love all the HP characters, for the simple reason that JK Rowling had developed their personalities so well, they you get quite attached to them. But if I had to choose...it would be Sirius.

Sirius went through a terrible ordeal, and survived [until OotP bye.gif ...but that's another story ....]. He was thrown into Azkaban, accused of having murdered his best friend while the true traitor, whom he had once regarded as a brother, hid away, biding his time. Sirius looked after Harry, at great personal risk, and loved him as a son, and friend. When he died, Harry was affected...[well...I believe Phineas was too...but that's where a ff I wrote comes into play biggrin.gif ]...dearly, and this shows us what an impact he had on Harry. He was an amazingly well developed character [kudos to JK Rowling!]....

So...what about you?

-Ginny, who loves to stir things up tongue.gif

PS: Come on....say something....

Well, anyone who was on the Potter Project probably knows who my favorite is: Neville.

Here's why:
1. Neville, although he has no self-confidence, is brave and talented.
2. He's a very sympathetic character, because of his family situation.
3. It's becoming obvious that he's very central to the whole saga.

One of the worst things about the first movie (SS/PS) was that Ron was put in the forbidden forest instead of Neville, and that Neville isn't with them when they first find Fluffy. (It happened because of how they truncated the story. But it still made me mad.)

Well, I'm sure no one has any clue as to who my favorite Harry Potter character is. Actually I have many. My favorite over all is Ron, of course, just because his humor spices things up, and I can really identify with him, (red hair, big family, feeling neglected) I am pretty much a fan of the entire Weasley Family, there's so much love there.

My second favorite character is Lupin. I've just always loved him. He seems like such a neat guy, and then there's the emotional aspect of all that he has had to go through, then he still manages to love and isn't very bitter about it. I've only seen glimpses of him in the movie but so far I am not impressed, especially by the bit of fuzz that seems to be growing on his upper lip. I'm not a big mustache fan.

I don't like the 'Movie Lupin', either. I'm hoping that the whole of the movie will help me get over that, though.

I love Lupin for all the same reasons ronsmyman does. I'm touched that he manages to love and be a functional and good man despite being at the mercy of the dark creature within.

I love Fred and George. I mean, Ron's really great, too... my favorite of 'the trio' for certain, but Fred and George are just lovely. They're such nice boys, really... they just like to have a bit of fun, in the same twisted way that Hagrid likes cartain types of creatures.

You mean I have to choose...? That's hard...

but I'll have to choose ron. He's just so great. He can always bring humor into any situation and is a great friend. His charactor is one that evokes a lot of emotions in me...thats probably the real reason I like him so much. it always makes my heart hurt when ron seems to be being left out. sometimes I dont think he's given enough credit....

My favorite character ... hmmm .. That's a tough question, and I think I can narrow it down to two, but I can't pick just one. I'd have to say my favorite characters have to be Harry, because well, he's Harry! Also Lupin, you just can't help getting attatched. You feel bad for him but he's just so nice to everyone else you just wish he was someone you actually knew! :-)

My favorite character from the movie is Oliver Wood because . . . well . . . he has a Scottish accent and, to put it simply, he's hot.

In the books, Lupin is my favorite adult character. He reminds me of this guy I volunteer with at the Spanish center. His gives up his afternoons to teach immigrant kids (he's a middle school teacher by day).

My favorite young characters are Fred and George because they're the type of people I aspire to be.

I'm afraid I'm not allowed to have a favorite character, due to actually BEING them half the time. Seriously, the letter game was the start of my multipersonality mixup. I've now got at least six characters in permanent residence in the right side of my brain. Hermione sculks around the the left side, but that's a different story and a rather unpleasant one, too.

... but, since it's been forever that I've avoided answering the question, for the kids, it'd have to be Ron! I love Ron. Ron is amazing! For the big people, it's devided between Snape and everybody's favorite Werewolf.

Here's to hoping we finally get some details about James and Peter later. We've been keapt in the dark about them far too long! Vive la information!

my favorite character? hmmm.....

Fred and George. no contest. but since it's singular, I would have to narrow it down to Fred. of the two he gets the most face time. and he's the one we see dancing furiously at the Yule ball with Angelina, who he asked out VERY publicly, and I gotta respect that.

And plus, with all their plotting and scheming, I identify with them most.

And they play quidditch.

and c'mon, it's fred and george. canary creams, enough said.

My favourite character would have to be Luna Lovegood. She's so vague and dreamy, reminds me of me sometimes. I would never wear radish earings though. tongue.gif And she helped at the Department of Mysteries, which is a big feat. I also feel really sorry for her, her mother died and now she's always being teased. Poor girl. sad.gif

But then I also like the Weasley family and Hermione (especially in the first book) because she's so snobby and know-it-all-ish. smile.gif

Luna's cool. You can't help but admire that she can wear radishes on her ears and still not care about what people think. wink.gif

I think we could all do with some radish earrings.

Hmm, I think I'd have to say that my favourite character is Severus Snape because he has depth. We also know enough about him to write him effectively but not so much that we can't make things up. He's also sarcastic and fun to write, what more can you ask?
