I really need to stop this. RMM, I nearly took that last letter as a personal insult. You should have seen me, for a minute I was very much saying, "I can't believe she'd do that to me." Wow. I must be real tired.

(I'm not really James. I'm not really James. I'm not really James.)

Everyone is doing awesome on these. This is the most fun ever.

Edit: Actually, now that I think of it, I posted this in the wrong topic. Oops.

I know. I'm really tired too, and I started to think that you were really being stupid, and screwing up all of the things I said to your advantage. I was getting mad too. Wow, first Quirrell and Now Lily. My head is getting full of characters, they're never going to leave me alone.

Ok one small complaint shall I say well not really complaint but observation.

Peter took alot longer to learn to change than the rest did. So at this point he would still be learning or he would have just learned and still not got it down pat yet therefore there would still be a chance of things going array while he is changing/ practicing.

this could also add to the plot a bit if perhaps you were discussing how to help Peter learn to change or worry about him messing up and getting stuck in between forms. Another plot idea could also be working on the map over the summer. At least come up with the ideal of the map and outline the general specifics the map could do. Then plan on making it as soon as school starts.

Ok I am done, I think. smile.gif

I think those are both great ideas bakbam - I think it would definitely thicken the plot if Peter accidently turned himself into a donkey with wings and chicken feet. It might attract some interesting mischief too wink.gif

Also, this could be the summer that someone suggest Peter try a smaller animal form (like a rat). Then the boys could get worked up about the Map because having Peter as an animal that can move about Hogwarts fairly speedily, stealthily and without the burden of the cloak would be very conducive to Map making...

And now about Regulus-Voldemort. Since Regulus can't be DE right now and he's so eager to prove himself, maybe Lord Voldy can send one of his DE (Snape (is he of age??) Lucius? Someone else?) to check/test REgulus out...and then we can fit in the werewolf search here as REgulus's first mission/test. What do you all think? Maybe there are other ways to work in the werewolf mission?

And one final thing - I'd like to write a letter from Regulus to Severus...should I wait until a fellow ferret decides to be Snape?

Good ideas people!

RMM-- Definitly smile.gif

Bakbam-- Good point; hadn't really thought of that, but as Quant pointed out, that could produce some hilarious hijinks!

Quant-- Lucius had already graduated by this time, for a couple of years I believe (but that's going on memory). He may be a good "mentor"... in fact, if someone would like to write as Lucius, that would be super cool.

About the letter to Snape without a respondent. If no one wants to take Snape on, you could do both, or write a letter in the Evil forum that is self-sufficient and wouldn't need a response in order to clearly express the character and the situation.

The only trouble with all of this is that it is summer. The crew are 15 - 16 years old at the most, and therefore cannot practise magic out of school or they'd get owls from the Underage Magic office. I am guessing that at this point, they still need their wands to transform, so it isn't likely that it would go unnoticed by the Ministry. (The MoM was pretty on top of it when Harry blew up Aunt Marge, after all.)

I was under the impression that Animagi-ness is always wandless magic. That could just be me, though. I always thought it was just one of those things you could do without the MoM noticing, since it's a different form of magic. But I think we'll have to look into whether that's true or not.

You may be right, Siriusly. At any rate - I'm certain that Peter would require a wand for the first part, anyway - and though we can certainly play it like it's wandless and undetectable, I'm thinking Peter wouldn't know that and he'd probably be scared witless to try.

Anyone else have an opinion on this? I'd like to see him get it right by the end of the summer. Perhaps Sirius & James (as a joke) could convince him that he needs certain 'protection' to avoid trouble.

I am in need of a friend. Lily needs someone other than the marauders to confide in, a friend of hers from Hogwarts. I don't have my copy of OotP down here with me, are there any friends of hers named, when Harry sees the flashback? No one needs to actually be writing her letters, though someone can, I just need a person to write to and since this is canon, I would prefer that it were someone from the book if anyone is mentioned. If not I'll just think up the most British sounding name that I can think of.

About the animagi and wands - I don't think transformation needs a wand - wasn't Sirius able to transform even without his wand in Azkaban?

RMM- Maybe you could get her writing to Alice, Neville's mom. They were probably around the same age, weren't they?

Okay, so I'll go ahead and write Snape letters from Regulus and if I need Snape to respond, that'll be the only time I'll take on Snape. I want to leave Snape as open as possible in case someone else wants to join in and take Snape.

Well, we know Peter isn't much of a wizard. I still think he'd need a wand for the first part and be scared of getting caught.

I do agree that since the boys are just starting, they likely would have used wands, especially Peter. I guess later when they had more skill and confidence they could discard the wand use.

REally easily. It's just a pic. I got it from one of those online logo makers (I used www.coolarchive.com but they have limited font) and then saved it to my photobucket. smile.gif

I don't know how she did it, but I've been trying to think of a way and all I can think of to do is make a signature, and upload it onto my webspace, then paste it as an image each post. Is there an easier way?
