Okay, sounds fun. But would it just be between James and Lily or would Sirius and the rest of the marauders join in the letter writing?

I definitely can see Sirius butting in and 'putting a good word in' on James' behalf - especially if James doesn't know about it. shifty.gif

Cool, so, can I get started now? My fingers are itching to get off of analyzing Amy Tan and back onto Harry Potter.

QUOTE
Plot 3: This is the summer that Peter starts to feel tempted to the dark side, for some reason.

According to the Lexicon, Peter was coerced to the Dark side after graduation. I'm not certain he ever came up with that idea himself.

I quote from The Lexicon's entry on Peter Pettigrew:
QUOTE
Peter was a person who is easily influenced by those around him, allying himself with whomever is the strongest. Lupin, Sirius, and Potter were the leaders in their year so he naturally followed them. But these were the years of Voldemort's power, and the Potters were for some reason particularly sought after by him. Once out of school, Pettigrew was an easy target for the Dark Lord. He was coerced into becoming a spy for Voldemort. As he put it,

"Sirius, Sirius, what could I have done? The Dark Lord... you have no idea...he has weapons you can't imagine...I was scared, Sirius, I was never brave like you and Remus and James. I never meant it to happen...He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named forced me...He--he was taking over everywhere! Wh--what was there to be gained by refusing him? You don't understand! He would have killed me, Sirius!" (PA19)

I'd much rather write him as turning bad on his own, but this is the Canon Fodder category and I don't think it would be appropriate.

For the Lily/James/Petunia thing James could come visit Lily against her wishes and then Petunia overhears Lily threatening to set the dementors on him. That's just a general schematic of course, but it's doable. so far James keeps threatening to come visit and he can finally carry out his threat, or her parents can invite him over or something.

It has been so much being Sirius stuck between Lily and James! I've been trying to play the egg-him-on, egg-her-on route... smile.gif

For the Regulus thing, I thought that since Regulus is just starting to get lured to the Dark Side, we could start off with him getting together with the other Death-Eaters -to-be and reveal him gradually doing more and more towards the Dark Side. I was thinking of starting at the end of this persuasion stage, so that he's almost ready to go to that side.
And then when he finally makes a formal allegiance to Voldy, then we could kick in with the searching for a werewolf plot.
How does that sound?

So, Moony, as becoming a nice pen pal to me, are you trying to gain my confidence, then dropping hints of what a great guy James really is? Are we going to be writing all the way up to the point where the first order is in place? That will be really fun.

Great job Zym! I loved the job discription. I was cracking up the whole time!

I loved it too Zym. As I was reading it I was wondering where I could fill out an application. It seems to have very good benefits.
