I did it! I wrote a "serious" fic. One that was more than ten pages. One that didn't start as a dare. One that wasn't funny. (ok... maybe it's a little funny) One that didn't involve pink tights, evil animal armies, the man in the moon made of spaghetti named Harvey, or Snape with gold hair...

It DOES include, Remus suddenly realizing his daughter is alive, stranger yet, Snape deciding to help Remus, stranger even than that Moony being a female wolf. (you have a moment to let your mind say, "Whaaaa?" You done? Thanks) and even stranger than THAT the girl being twelve when she ought to be eighteen. Interested much?

Hello my fellow ferrets. I wanted to take part in some shameless promotion. When Potter Project 2 ended FanLib sent me an email describing their site. I applied to administer a project on the site and I just received an invite from them to do so. I would love all of the talented people here to check it out and participate if you are interested. It is called The Harry Potter Project (not very original I know) Submissions for round one just opened. I am working on obtaining some prizes for the scene winners/participants of the contest. I am afraid I can not make any promises re: prizes that may be available (hopefully something REALLY good)at this time. So basically it is for fun, glory, bragging rights, etc. Come one come all. EDIT- Just wanted to add this tidbit- you can submit up to 5 stories per round! The only catch is that you have to use Harry Potter characters. All stories welcome. Must be between 1,000 and 10,000 characters (counting spaces & punctuation)
Submission deadline is Monday at noon. Log on to vote for your favorite story if you don't feel like submitting.

It's called "What It Doth Know" and it's a short H/G semi-fluff piece. There's a wee bit of angst and some humor involving the Weasleys thrown in. Yay.

You know its not too bad. Rather fun really. The only bad part is I can't write a story only read.
But I am quickly becoming a FanFiction addict so I am content to read the stories- when submissions start coming in that is- only one so far. I must say setting up the site was a breeze. The gentleman at FanLib has been most helpful with any question I've had. If anyone is interested in playing on my site or creating your own I urge you to do so. Fun stuff.
