Just to clarify -- are the stories supposed to be about private lessons with Professor Lupin, or is that just the title of the thread?

The original intent was to have the one-shots be connected to Lupin as though he was conducting private lessons with whomever else is in the piece (though it would be completely allowable if no other characters were involved also).

However, if you are inspired with a piece that doesn't have to do with some part of the thread title, but DOES contain that challenge's words, please post anyway! For example, someone else doing private lessons, or nothing to do with private lessons, but something to do with Lupin, or any permutation that strikes your fancy.

I don't suppose you'd consider increasing the word limit, Ms Cat?

I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to set up an entire Lupin-centric scene within a 250 word limit. Can I blame that on his being a complex character . . . rather than on my being verbose?

If you give me 500 words, I promise to put together something involving Lupin. I can't guarantee a private lesson . . . but something.

It's sad things are so darn dead here (and at SQ too). It's hard to find the motivation to write anything when the entire fandom seems to have evaporated.

I've been almost depressed about it. It was really fun when things were active, but, then again, we don't want the doofuses who post spammy idiocy... *sighs* I guess the price of quality is sparsness.

I used to get about eighty-seven ideas a day of stories, or at least drabbles, now... I mostly just wonder about silly details and don't get around to writing much of anything.... so you're doing far better than I am at this point.
