Is it true that you become a Stoat after 10 non-spam posts?

and if it is...what did I spam?!

I know that I Posted in the "True of False" after "Weasley's Wizard Whats?" and made my 21 post but PF still showed I only had 20 and I did it [I]after[I] "Weasley's Wizard Whats?"

This is what you said, so nothing was spammed. (I still don't understand what you were saying though.) To the left and under your avatar are some fun info listings. The number of posts you've made are enumerated just below your "Group" and above your join date.

The way the board is currently set up you wouldn't be able to post in other areas until you are at least a Stoat (which takes ten on-subject posts in this forum), so your "qualfication" was allowed quite some time ago.

Since you are brand new to PF, please keep notes as to what what you find confusing (do it in enough detail so that we can discuss it and try to straighten out the stuff that isn't easily understandable for the next new member). Thanks!

Okay, a question, and something that's not quite a question:

First, I wanted to point out that the link included in the "How to Join" topic that is supposed to link to the Newbie area is broken (I'm assuming the link hasn't been updated since the server changed, and it'll be a simple fix.)

Now, the question: Are there really only four topics that Ickle Firsties can post to? (This one, the T/F, How did you find PF and the Where is... thread) or is there more of a Newbie area somewhere in the ether, and I just can't find it because the link's broken? It seems a little demanding to expect us to make 10 good posts before being promoted, but then only allow us to do so on four fairly restrictive topics.

Whoa! Not that I'm complaining or anything, but how did I make Ferret with only 4 posts? I thought you needed 10 to even be a Stoat. I'm so confused!

It's the first section under Ferret Fun. Norbert's Theory of the Moment. It's even got it's own nifty little banner.

you are not a stoat yet. as you say it takes 10 non spam posts to become a stoat.
"Ickle firsty" is just a starting place. one or two posts and your out of there.
it does not take much to become a Fantastic Ferret but you can stay a Fantastic Ferret forever. As you see, I'm a Fantastic Ferret and I have made fifty-six non spam posts. I have (I think) not spamed anyone.

This statement that I have made is completely void. No one will ever become a Stoat after being a Fantastic Ferret because a Fantastic Ferret is above a Stoat.

OK something weird just happened!

I was making a post in the Solo Works section and it was taking me a long time. When I clicked the 'Add Reply button' it logged me out.
But as I was logged out I saw it said my stuff was saved...but I don't know WHERE!


One of you smart people, tell me where my work went.

I spent the whole day on it. I really don't want to do it again.
