Keep in mind this is my first attempt at the Ferret Pensieve, so please be kind if it doesn't come out the way I intended.

And as the adventure unfolds,
Slowly things come to pass.
But within the time between facts
There's always time for class.

Transfiguration is taught
By McGonagol's self.
Harry and Ron come late
And a cat leaps from shelf.

This cat has been seen before,
That night in Privet Drive.
No other than McGonagol
Who shows the students live.

"Bloody brilliant," Ron speaks true,
As McGonagol glares.
She makes a point about the time
Amidst the boys' great stares.

And soon we come upon one more
The snake we've learned about.
The potions class might seem a bore
But one has not lucked out.

Snape has an eye on Potter
From the very start.
And when Harry just takes some notes...
He learns of Snape's cold heart.

Snape ponders him with questions
About magical facts.
Naturally, Harry knows none
(Hermione won't relax).

And later in the large Great Hall
We learn nothing of school.
But that a bank was robbed one day.
A vault Harry'd been to.

He had gone there with Hagrid.
He wasn't supposed to
Speak of it to anyone.
Even me and you.

What was inside that vault
Was ever oh so small.
With security and secrecy
What wizards cared at all?

As we go on with magic
And we continue fun,
We take a flying lesson
Made for everyone.

Madam Hooch is teaching,
"Up" is a command,
It's simple enough: say the word
While reaching out with hand.

One student had bad luck,
As his broom flew away
While in a very poor attempt
At mounting it that day.

Neville Longbottom,
The boy who lost his toad,
Sat atop that rogue broomstick
And on and on he rode.

And when it crashed much later,
His arm is what was broke.
Madam Hooch left them alone,
To Miss Pomfrey, takes bloke.

It only took some seconds
For Malfoy to take hold
Of what was Neville's object.
A "rememberall" we're told.

He hops upon his own broom,
And takes it for a spin.
And only Harry Potter
Could go and confront him.

Draco tosses the ball
Far into the sky.
Harry sets off soaring.
How'd he learn to fly?

He catches the ball on time,
And hears his classmates' cry.
They all came running towards him.
He caught another's eye.

And very soon he's whisked away
By Minerva like that.
He's following quite close behind
The tall and elder cat.

Good things start to happen
But beware the third floor.
For even in the brightest times
Darkness can occur...
