A journey, Harry starts to take With Hagrid by his side. They soon reach "The Leaky Cauldron" Where wizards all abide.
Proffesor Quirrell stutters much A strange impression made. What lies beneath that large turban, An odder, purple shade.
And at the back, there rests a room And solid wall of brick. It opens to reveal a street Containing such magic!
The shops are filled with people And the windows filled with dreams. Broomwstick, wands, and magic books Tempt passerby with gleams.
At Olivands, the boy will wait As Hagrid runs some "errands". He walks on in, he tests out wands But none are good in his hands.
Nonetheless, there comes a wand That's different from the rest. It turns out to be perfect It turns out to be best.
And it's curious that this wand, To Harry it belongs, Is brother of the killer's Of those for which he longs.
Later, when they're eating With a new owl too, Harry hears some history That is all too true.
A wizard Voldemort, He-who-must-not-be-named, Murdered Harry's parents But left a boy that's famed.
Harry caused reversal Of Voldemort's dark spell. Today he might still be Alive but not that well.
A spirit of some sort. Neither alive nor dead. Struggling to survive. Uses others instead.
Harry's scar is a marking Of that day when "he" died. One day he might return, Right now he needs to hide.

The duo reach the train station A ticket's strange address Points Harry in direction Of nothing he can guess.
Platform 9 and 3 Quarters Really can't exist. But Hagrid has left him. He stands in confused mist.
A ray of hope soon shines down As his eye meets a group, (he later learns) The Weasleys, And joins their little troup.
He learns how to get inside, By running through a wall. And boarding the train all alone He wanders through it's hall.
He takes a seat and waits. As the train begins to move. He can feel the wheels turning Inside all their groves.
The Hogwarts Express begins It's long journey of sorts. The boy is set, the train is gone Next stop, is Hogwarts!
