JKR is taking far too long to satisfy our curiosity!

In this thread we will write Book 7, tie up the loose ends, and live happily ever after (maybe).

Look at All we have to work with! And there is so much more possible, too!

The trouble is, you are only allowed two sentences or one paragraph per post. You may double post if some idea is burning in your brain, but please be fair to your fellow writers, don't take the hippogryff's chunk of the dinner, share.

Post story in this thread, discuss in the other.

To get us started:

Chapter ONE

Bright moonlight pierced the night, accompanied by a quiet so stong it could almost be felt. Harry concentrated on keeping his breathing under control and not allowing any noise to come from his cautious footsteps.

For the past two weeks he had been staying with the Weasleys, but he couldn't stand to put them in danger anymore. The time had come for him to leave.

He'd made it out of the house without too much trouble thanks to the ghoul in the attic having a rather restless night, but now that he was out in the open it seemed like every shadow had eyes and ears. He had to get away without drawing attnetion.

But first things first, he needed his broom and if he wasn't quiet he might as well shout out,
"Hello everyone, would you like to come stop me from making a get-away?"

He held his breath as the hinges on the door of the old shed sqeaked open and spiders fell on him from above.

With a nonverbal "lumos" the tip of his wand illuminated the shed's interior. He'd considered simply accioing his broom, but was afraid the sound would awaken the chickens.

He swept the light from his wand over the entire shed and his heart skipped a beat: his broom, his firebolt, was gone.

"They knew I'd try it," he thought to himself, "and they're trying to stop me."

Nox-ing the wandlight, he walked to the apparation point, no longer concerned about noise. "Accio my Firebolt," he ordered.

A terrible heart-wrenching crash and a howl from the attic ghoul came from the direction of the burrow as his broom came flying into view. Slinging the small pack that held his belongings, he jumped on to the Firebolt, hoping its speed would carry him away.

As he rose above the trees a flash of red narrowly missed his left leg. He jerked the nose of the broom skyward, trying desperately to get beyond the reach of the spell caster hidding in the lane to the Burrow.

Holding on with one hand, he sped forward as he reached for his Invisibility Cloak with the other. Once he had it safely around himself, he swerved sharply to the right, narrowly avoiding another flash of red.

If they had aurors hiding in bushes at the Burrow, there would certainly be someone at Grimmauld place, so he couldn't go there. It was time for plan B: Hogwarts.

Harry tried to clear his head, but words, sounding awfully much like Moody, drifted into his mind, "Aurors wouldn't try to hex anyone leaving the Burrow." It was then that he realized a Confundus must have hit him while he was busy dodging the other spells.

Igoring the impulse to allow his eyes to drift shut, and trying to resist the voices getting louder and louder in his head, Harry gripped his broom tightly and sped onward, swerving wildy ever few moments to avoid tracking. "Grimmauld, not Hogwarts," he thought to himself, trying to override the spell, " Grimmauld. "

Looking down, Harry Observed, "Water. Must be the sea... the ocean... Why am I over the water?" he asked the Firebolt, more than a bit confused. "Grimmauld isn't near the Ocean."

"No, it isn't," said a sinister voice Harry had the feeling he ought to be able to recognize. "But you wouldn't be seeing water if you had studied your Occlumency, now, would you?"
