To Write In An Established Story ~

The Ferret desiring to write in a story, posts "dibbs" in that story’s topic and then edits his/her scene into their “dibbs” post within the stated time limit. ** If the new author does not post within the time limit, his/her priority expires and another author may call "dibbs" and write instead.

** If the "Dibbs" method is not used in the particular story, the time limit still applies. Should two authors post a "next segment" on the same previous post, the earliest time stamped one will be kept and the second post will be deleted.



To Start Your Own Ferret Wheel Story ~

1. To open a new Wheel project, a brilliant Ferret (such as yourself) opens a new topic, gives the idea a title in the box at the top of the form, then outlines an overall mission with a suggested plot outline, format, and any specifics important to their idea. Include here how you want to decide who goes next (First come? Call 'Dibbs?') and the time limit for the next segment to be posted.

2. The first post after the opening one contains the initial chapter or scene that gets the story going.

3. Be sure to open a separate Discussion Topic for your new storyline, it is the only place for comments on that story.
-- Story Topics should only contain chapter posts by authors and "dibbs" messages - all others posts will be moved or deleted.
-- Discussion Topics should only contain comments on the story they are connected to - all others posts will be moved or deleted.
--When posting a new topic in fiction areas, please use the quill picture as the topic icon for fiction threads. It is specially coded to send topics using it to the Current Stories list. Please use the arrow pic as the topic icon for discussion topics. It is coded so that Stoats may reply to topics using it. Thanks!
